We could, not should (draft)

We could, not should.
We could give angels books and board games
and trees and pine cones.
We could not give them ipads and iphones.
We could live a life without loans. Or moans
of lack. We could sack, off momentary
And live in with the magic of fairies
We could believe in innocence, and live within the present tense.
We could, not should.
We could join communities and share parenting roles?
We could not scrimp and scrape, and fall onto the dole.
We could all come together and let the children play.
We could give ourselves the space that way.
We could. Not should.
We could be kinder to ourselves.
We could. We could listen to the wind. We could. Not should.
We could be children forever. And never, not be held,
By the arms of all the mothers. As the sky that wraps us in its covers.
We could heal generations.
We could let go of those limitations, and feel into the sensations.
Those feelings we switch off. For the sake of sanity.
To have a little clarity.
We could, not should.
We could share. And jointly care,
For the children of the earth.
We could turn the walls invisible.
Shine a light on the dull,
Days, of no ways out.
We could not shout, we could trust in each other and not doubt.
We could all live in flow, with communal gardens where we can sow…
And create a place where we could all grow, flowers for the future.

We could, not should…
